Marketing activities via mobile phone represent a profit opportunity for advertisers who wish to interact with their clients, emphasizing, at the same time, the advantage of having low costs and guaranteed feedback, according to experts who attended the Mobile Marketing Conference. 

During the conference, Maia Novolan, general manager of Syscom Digital, touched upon the mechanisms and tactics which may lead to optimizing mobile marketing campaigns. According to Novolan, the mobile advertising market is growing and it offers the advantages of reduced costs and guaranteed feedback.

She also added that advertisers should personalize the messages used in mobile marketing campaigns and take advantage of the fact that the mobile phone is the only means of immediate communication, from any spot, in various forms.

On the other hand, Dan Virtopeanu, general manager of Voxline Communications, spoke about the possibility of running mobile marketing campaigns which would come as a complementary support to traditional campaigns. In his opinion, mobile marketing campaigns should be structured according to the specific attributes of the mobile phone, like being a highly personal gadget which is always close at hand, a communication channel which is always open and which may also have multimedia functions.

Following these discussions, Dragos Stanca, managing director of the F5 division inside the Realitatea Catavencu trust, added that, at the moment, the situation of the mobile advertising market in Romania is not a very good one, but that more and more campaigns are now being operated because more and more people seem to be spending more and more time on mobile internet.

Mobile Marketing Conference, which was held on marketing strategies applied in the mobile environment, was centered on the analysis of opportunities and the impact which mobile advertising has in the interaction between brands and consumers. The experts taking part, discussed the tendencies and innovations in the field, trying to find out if the market is truly prepared for this kind of evolution and how open the consumers are to the mobile communication channel.
